So you have decided to blog using Blogger by Google (or) WordPress (or) nowadays Vlog using Youtube (or) decided to make your website of a custom domain.

Whatever the option you choose, you want to get noticed and generate the traffic for the content you are writing.

In today's post, I will share, How I submitted my Blog to Google Search engine and other search engines such as Bing.

Then let's jump into it.

How to submit a blog to Google search engine

Submitting a blog to Google is EASY. Just follow these steps to help make your blog visible in Google search:

1. First, add your blog to Google Search Console

Google Search Console (GSC) is a place where you can submit your newly created Blog.

Inside Google Search Console, Click on ' Add Property' and Add the Blog URL (or) your newly created Website URL.

Refer to the below image :

After adding your Blogger URL (or) Website URL, you can gather some information about your blog or site. Google will crawl your blog and tell if you have any problems (poor code, bad host, spammy links, etc…)

2. Submit your blog to social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest)

If you don't have profiles on those social media sites, I highly suggest you create them. It only takes a couple of minutes, but it creates some sort of brand awareness for your blog.

Once you've activated your accounts, link your blog homepage on the respective accounts, so that it will help in increase your Blog presence more on the web and can be a major factor to drive traffic for your future posts.

3. Create a sitemap and robots.txt

If you started Blogging in 2020 (or) after 2010, then sitemaps and robots automatically created for you,

In short, a properly working sitemap and a robots.txt file will make crawling your blog much easier for Google. A sitemap is a place where all the URLs of your pages and posts are stored. You can read more about robots.txt here.

The sitemap URL for your blog would be

https://blogurl/sitemap.xml, which blog URL is site URL(Example:https://techcinefun.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml)

The robot.txt URL for your blog would be

https://blogurl/robots.txt, which blog URL is site URL(Example:https://techcinefun.blogspot.com/robots.txt)

After doing all the steps mentioned below, give Google Search Console at least 24hrs-48hrs.

if you have additional questions in mind, please share in the comments section (or) You can read more about more FAQ's provided by Google here.

4. Add your blog to Bing Webmaster Tools

Bing Webmaster Tools – This is similar to GSC, but made by Yahoo and Bing search engines. So, instead of using only GSC, I recommend you to add your blog to Bing as well. The functions of Bing tools are the same as GSC.

Log in with your Microsoft account if you have one (Example:someone@outlook.com)  (or) if you don't have to create one, I highly recommend having a Microsoft account along with a regular Google Account.

If you don't want to create a Microsoft account, Bing Webmaster Tools will give you the option to login with Google (or) Facebook also.

Once you log in, you will get the option whether you want to import settings from Google Search Console (or) manually want Bing to crawl your pages again.

Click on import, Voila, all your settings are imported and you have added your Blog to the Bing search engine.

Now comes the question in mind about how to make sure my blog was crawled by Google and Bing after 24-48Hrs.

How to find your blog on Google and Bing search

So you have completed all the steps mentioned above, Now you want to make sure you use the following search string to see if your blog is finally indexed by Google and Bing:

“site:http://YourBlog.com” (site: https:techcinefun.blogspot.com)

If your blogs come on Google Search, which means you have successfully added your Blog to Google and it will available to users.

So keep Blogging to share and spread your knowledge.

If you have a better suggestion please voice your opinion in the comments section.
