Software To add After Installing Ubuntu

First of all the Ubuntu has its own repository where you can find the all available software's by searching it through "Ubuntu Software Center" , so visit it and explore it.

The Top (or) important Software's to install after installing to Ubuntu will be following (the following can be available in the repository (or) you have to download and installed it)

  • Love your Google Chrome Browser then go the Google Chrome website and download the " .deb " version (which Ubuntu understand's ) of either 32 bit and 64 bit and then double click the downloaded file to install it through Ubuntu Software Center.

Note:  The Google Chrome is not available in the "Ubuntu Software Center" repository although you can find Chromium browser from the same community but I suggest to you not to install that, instead go for Chrome.

  • Go to Ubuntu Software Center and search for Adobe Flash Player  and install it through its interface (no need to worry of downloading and installing it) which is easy to use. The importance of Flash Player is to play your videos on YouTube (although it is upgrading it to HTML 5 Testing stage from there on you don't need any Player to play your videos).
  • Go to Ubuntu Software Center and search for Ubuntu Restricted Extras to play your all Mp3 and other formats to paly it in Ubuntu 12.10
  •  Go to Dash Home and search for Software Updater and click on it, it will show all recent security and software to be installed on your computer to keep your computer up to date.
Note:  For First you have to do this process and from next time whenever there is Update available it will notify you automatically either you can install it (or) you post it later to install it.
  • Are you Concerned about your privacy of your web such as History, cookies to mention a few, are you looking for an alternative CCleaner for Windows then for Ubuntu you have One,
Go to Ubuntu Software Center and search for Bleach Bit to clean your all computer stuff and free up the memory for you.
